How did you spend the summer?

I spent my summer finishing up a major video section for my skate sponsor, Razors Skates. Along with that I traveled around to a few contests nationally and internationally along with finishing up my Bachelors Degree at my University.

Do you like any other sports besides rollerblading? What about freeskiing?

I’ve always been an athlete and I love all types of sports from mainstream to extreme sports. I live in Denver, Colorado and we are a big sports city so I really enjoy watching our professional basketball and football team. Freeskiing is amazing, the level that it has reached is really impressive and it seems like every year the level is raised which is incredible. I have a lot of friends who are professionals so I like to keep up with what’s going on.

Who do you skate with now? Who do you think is the “hot blood” on the scene right now and why?

In my city I mainly skate with the people that I grew up skating with. Many of my friends I grew up skating with still try and make time for it whenever they can and they are the ones that push me and keep me moving forward. There are a lot of up and comers on the scene right now it’s hard to pick out just one.

What types of spots do you like the most? Rails, ledges, gaps, …?

When I was younger I was a rail rat, I can remember lining up with friends and skating a rail for hours. These days I have a more broad approach where I appreciate skating everything. When you have been skating for so many years I find happiness skating spots that push my skills and years of experience.

What do you think about the rollerblading scene in general? Is it going forwards?

I think right now skating (skill level) is as strong as it has ever een and ready to be reintroduced to a mainstream audience. In terms of the industry I still think there is work that needs to be done internally but as time goes on I hope the business side can grow and become stronger in every aspect.

What competitions do you plan to participate in the next year? Are you going to Winterclash?

I’m always traveling so there is no telling what contests I’ll be attending this year.

What accomplishment, personal or professional, are you most proud of and why?

I’m most proud of the “Brian Aragon Skate Park”, in my hometown of Brighton, Colorado. I grew up skating and playing sports in Brighton and when the City named the public skate park after myself it was a huge honor!

Are you going to join the X-SPOTS GAME? What’s the first spot you will add?

I will join the x-spots game!!!!! The first spot I will add is a secret, you will have to get the game to see what it will be.

What person do you admire the most?

My mother and father are the people I admire most. They both came from hard working families and have made a great life for themselves as well as me and my younger brother.

What's next for you personally? Where do you see yourself in the next five to 10 years?

Currently, I’m working on a few different video sections for various sponsors as well as the year-end WRS uploaded section. Along with that I want to keep progressing my skating, traveling, and meeting awesome people from around the world. In the next few years I would like to become more involved in the industry, which I have now been a part of for over 10 years.

Thx for the interview!
